Tigers Limited announced today that they had acquired the operations of South African based Lochhead White and Womersley (PTY) Ltd., a US$100 million freight forwarding and logistics group.
LWW have been family owned for over 100 years and were founded in Port Elizabeth. Today the group is headquartered in Johannesburg and also has operations in Durban. Their Port Elizabeth operations, near to the Coega Industrial Development Zone, remain a key part of their business.
John White, CEO and formerly the majority shareholder of LWW said, " We are pleased to be joining the Tigers family. They have sizeable operations in China, the USA, Europe and Australia and strong efulfillment operations around the world, which will benefit the South African business enormously”. White will continue as CEO of the South African company.
